Given what is happening in the world today, there is a great temptation to think of masculinity simply as destructive and unethical.

We see the rise in authoritarianism, domestic and gender based violence, war - so many things that are connected with masculinity.

Can there be masculinities that are not simply harmful or authoritarian? Masculinities that are vulnerable but also strong, beautiful but also intelligent and discerning, inventive while also attentive, generous without losing their boundaries, skilful, discerning, attentive, intruiging and sexy.

today is a great time to re-imagine what masculinity can be. Masculinity that is not simply rejecting or in opposition to femininity.

It doesn’t have to be only harmful and authoritarian. It can be beautiful, creative, generous, gentle, intriguing, sexy.

How can our images, feelings and desires around masculinity evolve?

We need new images and expressions of masculinity.

How can our visions of masculinity evolve today? Otherwise and beyond the all-powerful, all-knowing, hierarchally superior, dominance, psychically violent, load, sexually predatory male?
